How it works
Every pump.fun coin launched on Axolotl gets its own regrowth reserve. After a confirmed crash the reserve buys the coin back in small parts and burns every token it buys. All of it is one Solana program; the numbers on this page are read from it.
The reserve
SOL held inside the coin's own program account. It comes from the dev's seed at launch (at least 0.1 SOL), 0.8% of every trade made on this site (the 1% router fee, 80% to the coin), feeds from anyone, and, only if the dev opted in at launch, a share of the coin's pump creator fee. Trades on pump.fun, Axiom or bots do not pay the router fee and do not feed the reserve.
The peak and the cut
Anyone can record the coin's on-chain price (the bonding curve, or the canonical PumpSwap pool after migration). No oracle. The peak is the highest median of three consecutive readings, so one spike cannot set it. When that median stays at or below 30% of the peak (a 70% fall) for 15 min, across at least 10 readings, and the live price agrees, anyone can open a regrowth.
The regrowth
50% of the free reserve (at most 20 SOL) is locked and spent over 24 hours in 48 parts. A part buys only while the price is below 50% of the peak; otherwise that slot is skipped and nothing is spent. Every token bought is burned in the same instruction. What is not spent goes back to the reserve, the peak resets to the highest price seen during the regrowth, and the coin rests for 24 hours.
Each buyback is guarded
The minimum it must receive comes from the median of the newest readings; the live quote must meet it. One part is at most 0.5% of the curve's SOL (0.25% of a pool's), one program buy per slot, and no trade may share its transaction. A part never buys into a pump.
What a reserve is not
A cushion, not a promise. A small reserve moves the price a little: it buys part of a crash back and burns it. It also pays sellers in a crash, which is what a cushion does. The site shows the real reserve and the real price effect next to every regrowth.
Trust points
- No attestor and no oracle. The keeper key has no privilege: every step it takes is open to anyone, and a dead keeper only delays (a missed part folds into later ones or goes back to the reserve).
- The admin can pause new launches, feeds and router buys, change parameters for future coins behind a 24 hour timelock, set the treasury and set $AXO once. The admin cannot move any reserve, any held dev share or any token.
- Parameters of an existing coin never change.
- Reserve SOL leaves only through a buyback of that coin. A held dev share leaves only to that coin's dev.
- Platform risks remain: pump.fun and PumpSwap are upgradeable programs run by pump.fun.
